We've arrived safely in London, England! My friend and colleague, Tara and I have been training with an organization called Nexlead for a few months now for an experiential based trip to Europe. We will be on a preview trip for a program called EuroTrain to learn the leadership development curriculum and experience some of the sites first hand. The main driving emphasis of the curriculum is on building up "culture-shaping leaders". We have acclimated fairly well to the time change after arriving around noon, stopping in to visit the London House where our students study abroad. We then went on the River Cruise on the Thames to see some of the architecture. Then we experienced the London Eye Flight pictured above, which may be considered an eye sore by locals, but it a fantastic view of the city. It made me understand the layout of the city much better than popping in and out of the underground tube. We had a nice dinner in Chinatown, although I have to admit we ate at a very cute Italian restaurant that we found. We finished our day walking in Picadilly Circle and finally sleeping sound!Monday, April 30, 2007
