A New Transition

I have appreciated having Daniel home for 3 weeks. He was able to join me for my final week of pregnancy when things were the most difficult waiting and going in for appointments. Then his work was gracious and allowed him to take time off for 2 weeks to be with Nolan and I and to make the transition to parenthood.

Now, we enter into a new time of transition. I got some practice on Sunday while Daniel went to the Seahawks game and found that I could manage on my own, with some creativity and patience. This is probably my favorite picture so far...like father, like son. He plans to take Nolan with him as soon as we switch to bottle feeding. Nothing like starting them out early!

And I finally learned to relax, watching the game from the comfort of my couch. It was a great game, Seahawks beating the Rams 37-13, although I only made it through the first half, then fell asleep!

On Friday we went in to see Daniel's work and he showed off Nolan to his co-workers. I thought it was sweet that they all swarmed around him!

Happy first day back to work, Daniel!
