For those of you keeping track, I am 11 days past my due date. And no, I haven't had the baby and forgotten to tell you! I have been feeling great, but since we are between the 41-42 week date, I went in on Sunday for the
NST and test for Amniotic fluid levels to make sure everything was going well. Everything is fine! We also had an appointment at the Childbirth Center on Monday to see how things were progressing and to consider options for inducing. Here I am Monday morning ready to have a baby on Labor Day!

At Northwest Hospital, there is the coveted birthing "suite". All of the rooms are nice, but one room in particular has an interesting history. A CEO had the suite built for the family to have their baby in and afterwards donated the room to the hospital, so it is about 3x as big as all of the other rooms and is available on a first come, first serve basis. I was trying to not get my hopes up as we were at the Center the day before and someone was already in it. But...Monday morning we put our name in for the room and the nurse said it was our lucky day! So, not only were we excited to be having a baby (hopefully) that day...we got the
suite!
And then we had some options for inducing and waited around, and waited around some more, and got a pass from the hospital for 2 hours and went and walked around the mall, came back, waited around some more, and finally were told to go home! So much for labor day...and for holding onto the suite!
So, as you can imagine we are in the waiting phase...again. But I am happy to wait to have a healthy baby and not rush so much that I end up in the OR with a C section, although always a possibility.
In the meantime, we've gotten to hang out with family and friends, hit up a few parties we thought we would miss and wrap up at work. It's been a blessing to overlap some time with the new staff at SPU. If you know me, you know I hate to miss out!
Here's my new SPU staff for the 2008-2009 year.

We'll keep you posted! We have appreciated the prayers, support and encouragement.
