First Mariners Game!

Nolan made it just in time to see his first Mariners Game...and the last weekend home game of the season. There's nothing like starting them early! Although a game in September at this point in the M's season was not a huge highlight (although they did pull out wins for the last few games of the season, 7-3 against the Oakland A's on Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday), we enjoyed the experience.

First M's Game as a family

Nolan had a chance to wear some of his sports gear before he grows out of it!

It was actually pretty manageable as we got there early, found a nursing room right near our section and collected lots of "first" baseball cards from all of the Safeco Employees that we walked by. Other than that, he was awake and kicking when people clapped - which reminded me of the first time I felt him kick while pregnant, which was at an M's game. And then he slept soundly through the rest of the game.

The same week, I was able to bring Nolan with me to an event for SPU. One of my co-workers and I came together with our kids to attend the event at Safeco, had dinner with the students and went to a few innings of the game. It's been fun to start figuring out how to get around and venture out...although still a bit tiring!

Now we'll watch him grow up and be a ballerina...(that comment is for you Michael)

"And then he slept soundly through the rest of the game"

I've seen Mariner's boxscores, so this makes perfect sense to me.

Oh snap!

I'm so impressed with you getting out and about so soon!

I'm glad you liked the meal. Jeff and I had it for dinner too...it's one of my favorites, but I hope it wasn't too spicy ;)
