A Glimpse of January

As mentioned in my previous post, I spent much of January through March balancing work and pregnancy. I had some great highlights during this time but didn't get a chance to post, so here is the first of a few glimpses into winter in Seattle which has seen hail, snow, rain and a few rare sun patches.

One such sun patch came in January when we took our staff activity day to Blake Island.

We had a great staff outing on one of those treasured sunny weekends in Seattle. One of my PA's offered up his family boat for our staff activity day. We sailed out to Blake Island which is home to Tillicum Village(http://www.gonorthwest.com/Washington/puget/Blake_Island/tillicumvillage.htm). It was a great chance to connect with our student leaders as well as relax in the sun. There were also some incredible views of Seattle along the way.
