It's been ten years since I worked as a Counselor in Training at Camp Firwood. Last weekend we had a staff reunion for '97 CIT's. It was great to visit and see some of the improvements to camp as well as see that some things don't change! Even though we were all ten years older, the same personalities came through in each of us. We walked the steep road, saw that the cabins were still pretty bare, took a hike to South Cove and had fun telling stories and sharing memories.
The four of us have kept up, but it was a good chance to reonnect at this stage of life!
The rest of us enjoyed catching up and taking a hike to South Cove where we used to overnight camp.
