Retreats in Review

2007 Summer/Fall Retreats in the Pacific Northwest

As I have mentioned in previous posts, fall quarter is all about retreats. In fact, I think I have finally recovered from retreating! The first tradition is a retreat with my colleagues, which was held at Camp Casey this year. We had fun staying in a large house together, cooking meals and learning about each others Strengths. It's always a nice way to ease back into the transition of work as summer wraps up.

My favorite part about being back in the Northwest is riding the ferry! We had a beautiful day and it made for a nice commute to Whidbey island for our staff time. We were able to have some "beach" time which looks a lot different than the California beach day. I love the rocks and the rugged nature of this shoreline.

The second adventure was the retreat with our residence life student leaders at Lake Retreat, then on to Leadership Conference at Warm Beach.

After much training and retreating together, the students arrived. We welcomed them by taking them on retreat! Hill Hall took their annual retreat at Camp Casey and Moyer Hall took their group to Lake Retreat.

All in all...it was a good fall!
