Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Well, it's still 15 nights before Christmas, but this house that I share with 300+ others is now quiet...well, besides a few courageous squirrels. One of the perks to working in Higher Education is that although the quarter has been busy and full, I now get a few weeks to recover and relax. A few things I plan to do:

Shopping/wrapping - We have scaled back this year, but I still plan to hit the stores in the daytime and stay away from the chaos! I also plan to join my sister-in-law for our annual wrapping party...she has great ribbons and gift tags...it's my one craft day of the year.

Reading- I just started reading a tale of South Africa called, The Power of One, among others.

Watching movies- There's nothing better than cuddling up in a warm blanket while it's cold (and even snowing) outside!

Babysitting- I have some catching up to do with my nephew as well as my favorite neighbor, Nia.

Christmas parties- Daniel and I made a calendar this year and put it on the fridge so we wouldn't double book! We are looking forward to open houses, December birthdays, get togethers with friends, couples and families.

Cooking- what??? Yep, I made 5 dishes of enchiladas last night to freeze and get us through some lazy winter nights. I may even try a few recipes...watch out!

Settling in- we've left the office for last to finish unpacking, getting settled and putting up our artwork.

Trip to my hometown- I plan to make it up north to visit some old friends and meet my friend's new daughter!

Baby dedication- my nephew not only turns one in December, he is also being dedicated at church soon!

Theater- my cousin is in a Christmas play which I'm attending this weekend in Seattle.

My Golden Birthday- turning 28 on the 28th!

Check back soon- I plan to update my blog with some fall pictures. Our internet connection got fixed today, so I can finally get some pictures up!
