Family Cruise

The month of May was a busy one! One of the highlights was going on a cruise to Mexico with Daniel's family. I haven't written much because we had the "pre-funk" party the week before the cruise, then the 8 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera, and of course the final "post funk" party with Paula & Vince. It's a great vacation as we were able to leave out of the Port of Long Beach, just south of Malibu. We enjoyed a few days at sea, then visited the ports of Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas with a final day at sea on the way home. Daniel and I were happy to be on vacation! Part of cruising is enjoying the food...Daniel was most happy at dinner time!! :)

We missed a few family members including Ken & Sean, but the rest of the gang was Roxie, Jennifer, Paula & Vince and Ronni & Bill. Our first adventure was off the coast of Puerto Vallarta where we took a catamaran to a snorkling spot, then visited the town of Yelapa. Daniel treated me to parasailing for my very first time!

In Mazatlan, we visited the major spots including the Cathedral, Central Market, and views of the waterfront. The Cathedral is in a busy part of town, but it had a tranquility to it. Cabo was the hottest spot and we enjoyed going out on a glass bottom boat (Paula and I did this last year and it was really choppy water!). All in all, it was a refreshing vacation. We were sad to see our family go!
