Stephanie and Emily hosted a baby shower for me at Sheridan Beach on the waterfront of Lake Washington. It was a great chance to see friends and celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Common! It was also fun to have it be kid-friendly and see what it is I'm getting myself into to. I suppose it's a little late to be saying things like that! :)
As I looked around, it was a blessing to realize the combination of friends from my time growing up in Bellingham to now. Long time friends came from all directions, and although it was a busy summer weekend, we got to share this slice of life together.
Posing for pictures is still funny to me as I forget that I look like I have a basketball for a stomach. No close ups please. My parents live on the north side of Lake Washington, so thanks mom for letting us use the beach front!
