It's a weird shift to go from preventing pregnancy to hoping to see those two pink lines! In December, it was just that! I picked up a pregnancy test after getting nauseus on PB&J. I waited until the morning after a good nights sleep, then took the test and got in the shower. When I got out and looked at the results it took my brain some time to process. I've decided that they couldn't make a test much clearer, but even then, it was like being in a fog. I preceeded to take it out to Daniel to share the news...he's been quite eager to be a dad...but his response was priceless. He said something to the effect of...ewe gross, didn't you just pee on that thing?
At first Jon & Em thought it was a bit small for my nephew, Noah. My mom figured it out first but couldn't say a word for about 3 minutes.

We were glad to make it through the first trimester and started sharing the news. We celebrated the second trimester with a trip to Las Vegas (more pictures coming soon) on our so called Babymoon. I know, cheesy, but it was much needed time away.
And now, to get us up to date, I am halfway through my pregnancy and feeling much better. I've gotten back to exercising and at the same time starting to keep my food down and gain some weight. I'm told that I will now gain about a pound a week which is also a bit intimidating. I'm starting to have difficulty finding something to wear in the morning!
We were able to go in for an ultrasound and find out the sex of the baby. We had leanings toward it being a girl so will have to spend more time coming up with a boy's name! The ultrasound showed a healthy baby and there's no mistaking that it's a boy!

You make me laugh - especially about your comment regarding needing an Ilse fix - brian says that on a regular basis - and he sees me 3 or so times a week. I guess i am a pretty good "fix"
So excited about your baby - steph told us that you were having a boy on the airplane. We weren't out of the country yet (she said she was supposed to wait until we were out of the country), but i figure it was close enough.
Will definitely have to make some more bibs for you :) And maybe do some knitting as well.
Yay!!! A little boy!
You're going to be such a good mama to a little boy. Most mamas need extra energy to keep up with a little boy, but I have a feeling this boy will need extra energy to keep up with you. :)
Congratulations!!!
