Road trip Part 2

After a great week in Malibu with my mom, we embarked on the road trip to Seattle. The extra week allowed me to finish up some work related projects, say goodbye to friends and colleagues, and visit my "favorite" places. I took my mom to Adamson House, we went by the Getty Villa, walked 3rd Street and the Santa Monica Pier, ate appetizers at Taverna Tony's and of course, the beach. We also enjoyed eating breakfast at the various campus spots, my favorite being the patio at the Law School. This picture is of me saying goodbye to the gorgeous view! Mom and I did quite well driving and made it to Redding the first night and all the way to Seattle by about 8:30pm on July 7th. We did it in our own style, stopping at a nice hotel, having a lovely dinner (thanks mom), and enjoying the pool. Although we didn't drive the rental truck, we did manage to have a few more "last items" as referred to in road trip Part 1. After loading up the Ford Ranger, we looked like the Beverly Hill Billies...mom even offered to sit in a chair in the back of the truck bed. :)
